Workday Benefits Delivery Consultant Advanced

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead client process requirements on new implementations:

Participate in due diligence efforts
Participate in SOW reviews with client during contracting  process
Lead initial implementation requirement sessions to ensure compliance with PoV
Work with Account Leadership and the client to establish priorities and balance expectations
Lead functional testing of benefit integrations and benefit processes
Achieve sign-off from client on requirements

  • Participates in the definition and documentation of requirements with the client, third party providers, and Alight partners
  • Defines and communicates the Alight Benefits Operations security requirements to the aligned deployment partner
  • Create, facilitate review, and obtain sign-off of Workday Benefits Process Requirements Document with the client
  • Maintain and communicate scope during implementation
  • Identify Change Requests and work with aligned Project Manager to write and obtain sign-off
  • Lead and test system requirements as defined in scope
  • Copy required POV reports into client tenant
  • Effectively transition ongoing activities to the client team lead and support the team during defined stabilization period
  • Appropriately document any gaps in transition or process to the ongoing team lead to ensure an effective and complete handoff
  • Works to resolve escalated employee issues and communicate resolution to the client and internal parties
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Workday Benefits operations for the client (both internal and external) to resolve complex issues and to lead clients through complex projects such as ACA support, open enrollment, acquisitions
  • Identifies and researches issues/system defects (with/without guidance) and formulates resolutions/recommendations by analyzing fact patterns and applying/following SOPs and best practices.
  • Helps identify and implement ideas for improving the domain specific processes and methodologies
  • Travel may be required based on client need up to 15%

 

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

 

Required Experience:

 

  • 5+ years of work experience in a Business, Human Resources or Workforce Administration environment.
  • Health and Welfare benefits administration knowledge and experience is required.
  • Strong benefits subject matter expertise
  • Benefits Administration system experience (Workday preferred)
  • System implementation experience
  • Proven experience at building & fostering client relationships
  • Solid experience with client communication skills required.
  • Skilled with working in an environment with a solid understanding of client requirements and how to provide advice and counsel.
  • Skilled to work under tight deadlines managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong understanding and exposure in executing on project methodology.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications like Excel and Word.
  • Experience with software methodology development processes.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Workday

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
