Position: BIA Consultant II
Job Location: 4 Overlook Point, Lincolnshire, IL 60069
Duties: Perform Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) activities by handling staffing supply and demand models for several clients. Consult internal stakeholders and key stakeholders on model validation and improvement. Support workforce planning, talent strategy and headcount operations business management routines. Maintain and update advanced business tools. Work with analysts to update business tool inputs and reports. Provide analysis to make informed decisions regarding supply and demand, and optimal utilization. Handle projects and programs and ensure complete implementation into business with quality tools, including supporting processes and ongoing measures for success. Develop new insights, understand business performance and deficiencies, and assist in strategic planning process by providing relevant insights. Conduct analysis and evaluation of intangible factors of variance. Identify current system deficiencies and handles strategic efforts to resolve them. Function as a subject matter expert within the BIA Team by supporting customer service and developing best practices for the use and implementation of company tools and strategies. Telecommuting / working from home is permissible.
Minimum education required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related field.
Minimum experience required: 1 year experience in an analytical role.
Minimum skills required: Must have experience with: (a) statistical modeling; (b) relational databases, including MS Access; (c) SQL programming; (d) queuing models and stochastic/simulation processes; (e) algorithm development and implementation to solve non-differentiable optimal control problems using MS Excel, Visual Basic and Matlab; (f) sensitivity analysis and numerical simulation using MS Excel, Visual Basic and Matlab; (g) initialization of unknown parameters for nonlinear problems; (h) regularization of optimal control problems; and (i) tableau for data visualization. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience, or professional experience with the required skills.
