Alight Solutions (formerly Aon Hewitt)is looking for a Financial Resource Analyst


The FRA’s key responsibilities fall into the following three areas: Staffing and Operations Process Management, Resource Management Support, and Financial Reporting. It is critical that the RM Analyst become proficient in all aspects of the role by demonstrating overall responsibility and accountability for these areas:


Specific Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Collect weekly headcount change information and apply it to headcount forecasting tool.
  • Track headcount movements and track annualized base pay run rates.
  • Maintain and monitor the Staffing Allocation Tool and the monthly staffing allocation process for specific groups.
  • Interact with mid-level business manager to understand future resource needs and apply resulting headcount changes to forecasting tools.
  • Act as a change agent to stakeholders while the Resource Management group implements new processes and tools. Specifically will focus on the tactical/transactional areas of our business.
  • Work with Financial Managers and Resource Managers to aggregate monthly and yearly staffing metrics, such as headcount, monthly people movements and compensation.
  • In conjunction with Resource Managers, provide explanations when actual financial results differ from the financial plan and document in report templates for senior level managers.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for the aligned business
  • Successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in finance and resource tracking, ability to collaborate with team members at various levels, and initiative to complete tasks with minimal oversight.


  • Bachelor's degree or Masters in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to build and manage relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and drive and prioritize own work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adapts well to changing priorities in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to support team building: Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members.
  • Exposure to project management standards (Note: this refers to overall project scoping, governance, managing to plan, articulating variances, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies, etc.).
  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
