Alight Solutions is looking For Health and Welfare Client Manager (CM)

 

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Health and Wealth Services (HWS) group within Alight Solutions.  As a CM, you will report directly to the group leaders and while you will not have direct reports you will mentor and guide colleagues in client facing and operations roles. This role is client facing and specific client alignments will be based on experience as well as location.  This role is open to candidates located in Atlanta, Bridgewater, Lincolnshire, Newport Beach, Norwalk, Orlando, Toronto or The Woodlands. 

 

The Client Manager (CM) is responsible for the client satisfaction, service delivery, requirements creation and maintenance, customer service provisional training, operational oversight, and integration with system development team for the Health and Welfare service.

 

A CM demonstrates strong client consulting skills and deep plan knowledge (including regulatory compliance). The CM is the main contact point for the client with respect to day to day service delivery and supports the Health Services Leadship in delivering best in class solutions for our clients. In general, this role will leverage across one or more clients.

 

Your Impact As A Health and Welfare Client Manager

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan Management/Client Consulting - Acts as the subject matter expert for all service specific and common client requirements.
  • Leads and facilitates updates for all applicable requirements documents for plan provisions, administrative events, interface documentation, and delivery channel documentation for clients in ongoing delivery. Leverages others (Benefits Operations Managers) where appropriate.
  • Participates in analysis discussions to ensure the provision requirements match the technical specifications for clients in ongoing delivery.
  • Works with Benefits Operation Managers to ensure ongoing processes are revised based on requirements changes.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to client, client team, shared services, and supporting services on plan provisions and ongoing processing concepts for clients in ongoing delivery.
  • Serves as primary resource to client, client team, shared services, and supporting services in the translation of requirements.
  • Builds domain knowledge within the Benefits Operations Manager (BOM), Delivery Specialist (DS) and Benefits Operations Analyst (BOA) roles.
  • Oversees all service delivery and leverages the Operations Manager and Benefits Operations Manager to resolve issues and provide quality service to clients.
  • Records and reviews project scoping, budgeting and change order records along with the Lead Systems Analyst(s).

Coordinates service delivery across point solutions and shared services, sharing client knowledge and expectations to achieve a common team goal.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

 

Required Experience:

  • Intermediate knowledge of benefits business, including products and services, operations, and delivery.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general system environment and process flow.
  • Intermediate compliance knowledge.
  • Intermediate regulatory and legislative knowledge in Health and Welfare service area.
  • Basic knowledge of overall financial management.
  • Intermediate understanding of benefits outsourcing systems and application platform. 5+ years project management experience managing multifaceted projects and teams, including on-site and virtual management.
  • Proficient in coaching others (minimum 6 months of experience).
  • Basic knowledge of customer service training concepts.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous benefits administration and client consulting experience highly desirable.
  • Experience managing people is beneficial for this role.
  • Internal TBA experience preferred
  • External with prior TBA experience a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of customer service training concepts.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (helpful).
